The Race For President

After sneaking out of the party, you and Newt hold a press conference to announce your candidacy. It is not long before the ticket of you and Gingrich gains strong popularity. It seems that some of the fire from the conservative revolution of `94 is still hot, as you receive an impressive showing in the polls. Your abundant campaign funds are also helping, as you are the only one of the candidates who uses lasers and pyrotechnics when campaigning. The only thing is that no one in the country knows who you are. They all want Newt, not you. You're getting tired of turning on late night talk shows and hearing jokes about `the one guy' and Newt Gingrich.

One day you get an invitation to participate in a televised debate with Bob Dole, and President Clinton. Both your campaign manager and Gingrich urge you not to do it, but you think that it may be the only way America will finally get to know the `real' you. You mull over the decision as you lie in bed listening to your Frampton Comes Alive CD.
